Please can you check the Windows Events Log (Event Viewer). You can find the "Error" records with the source "Application Error". There are also the description of the error some thing like:

Code:

Faulting application explorer.exe, version X.X.X.X, time stamp 0x49eb011b, faulting module somedll.dll, version X.X.X.X, time stamp 0x4a4b8485, exception code 0xc0000094, fault offset 0x000f3db3, process id 0x2254, application start time 0x01c9fa62ea12cf10.

The "somedll.dll" will be replaced with the plugin dll where the bug appear. Please can you post here the text from Event Viewer?

Hi,

with my notebook (vista32, SP2) and TLB 4.4 with cd-, volume- and battery-control plugins I have explorer-crashes.
The curious thing is that these crashes only occurs when the notebook is battery-operated, with AC power everything works fine.
After some testing I think the problem is caused by the volume-control plugin, any ideas?

The width of the vertical toolbars depends of the content of the toolbar. So if you have the option "Show Text" is turned on for toolbar then the toolbar width can become too large because the text of some can be too long. So you can to reduce the text for buttons or use the options "Max width of buttons with text" in the TLB Settings->Metrics. Other option you maybe need: TLB Settings->Toolbar->Same width for all buttons with text

Do you use the standalone True launch Bar? Then right-click the empty space of the toolbar and select "Toolbar properties". In the Properties dialog box you can find the option "Dock side". Standalone True launch Bar never supported the undocking by drag&drop

If you are using the the standard Windows toolbar then the only way to move toolbar to the other screen side: close it and open again using our FAQ topic. Windows Vista does not support the undocked toolbars

In Vista 64, I cannot drag a toolbar from its docked position on the side of the screen to a standalone box in the middle of the screen. All previous versions have allowed this. Dragging the toolbar away from the dock accomplishes nothing. It stays docked.

I have several toolbars docked on each side of my screen. The maximum width of all of the toolbars together is unpredictable. Sometimes it is 3/4 of the width of the entire screen. Sometimes it is 1/2 of that width. This causes the toolbars to truncate and makes them hard to see.

What determines the overall width of all toolbars docked together on the side of a screen? How can I change that?

Your first suggestion does not accomplish anything. No matter what minimum size I enter, the width of the toolbar (in a vertical column) does not change at all.

Your second suggestion also does nothing. There is nothing to click between two vertical toolbars docked together.

I hope you will take the time to reread the original question, as your answers were not relevant.

Try the TLB Settings->Colors->Toolbar colors->Background colors
Select the default color (square with red line).

I changed the task bar color. Is there a way to revert to default XP color ?
